How much does a website cost?
Prices for websites can vary hugely, depending on the type of site you are looking to get built, the scale of the content, and the precise functionality needed to successfully operate the website online.
It’s a little like buying a car – they all get you from A to B, but some are a lot bigger, some get you there a lot quicker and some look much better!
Generally, websites will fall into one of the following 3 categories:-
- Corporate websites: £15,000 – £25,000
- E-commerce websites: £25,000 – £75,000
- Highly functional, bespoke websites – £50,000 – £150,000
We are always happy to take a look at any project scope and provide a ballpark estimate for you to give you an idea of the scale your project is at.
How long does it take to build a website?
Depending on the complexity of the website functionality, it can take anywhere from 12-14 weeks weeks to design and build a corporate website, 16-25 weeks to create an e-commerce store and anything up to 1 year for a bespoke custom website platform.
Will I get a mobile and desktop website design?
Absolutely. We will provide you with both mobile and desktop designs for all core website pages for approval.
How will you present my website designs to me?
We use Figma to present our designs to you, both mobile and desktop versions. This allows us to mimic some website behaviours, such as hover effects and navigation menu drop downs, so that you get a true sense of what how your website will work.
What CMS platforms do you recommend?
A lot of our website projects these days are built on the WordPress website platform. 65% of CMS-powered websites today are powered by WordPress, so our view is that we have to have a very good reason to not use it.
However, we do also work with Laravel for custom website projects, as well as Sitefinity and Umbraco.
